Das iPhone-Dev-Team äußert sich in einem gerade aktuell veröffentlichten Blogbeitrag zur 3G-Unlock-Thematik und kündigt diesen für Silvester 2008 an. Alle Geräte, die eine Baseband (2.11.07) oder früher aufweisen (aktuell 02.28.00) können damit freigeschaltet werden.

Das Dev-Team wird über Weihnachten auf dem 25th Chaos Communication Congress den Vortrag Hacking the iPhone halten. “This talk will be a juicy technical talk relating to iPhone platform and our previous exploits.“

We have been working hard on a few other things. The main one being the 3G unlock codenamed “yellowsn0w”. This is now completed and is currently being packaged into a user-friendly application with the simplicity that you see in QuickPwn or BootNeuter.
